This will eventually reach The Supreme Court. Once there, I believe it will be sustained.

Open carry is a Catch-22. Kinda makes sense on paper, to protect yourself and all that blah blah, etc., but when you actually do it, open carry, you are endangering yourself and those around you and no longer benefit from perceived safety...in fact...open carry people may very well be mentally ill. ;)

I could make the same argument of people who vote for people like Hillary Clinton...  but on a more rational note, I think open carry is foolish as it makes you the target for the first person to shoot.

Finally judges get it right. Now we should have constitutional carry and eliminate all fees and licenses for permits. You should not have to pay to exercise your constitutional right

Do you have any reliable non-partisan sources/statistics to back up this claim, or are we going with baseless emotional drivel on this one?

I'm slightly offended that you would think bicycle Rider would comment based on an emotion. It's a scientific fact that people can merely look at a firearm and it kills everybody. No One Is Safe! The government should step in and fix this evil problem because the government does nothing wrong and always knows exactly what's in the best interest of We the People

But,,,,,, a establishment also has the right to say no to allowing weapons on their property.

It is a bit odd you have to pay to exercise this particular right.   Imagine if you had to pay for a license to exercise free speech?

We need to implement a voting license.  Pay a fee, take a test, show proof of employment.

if sustained, will municipalities have a standing to pass no gun laws?

With the exception of the mentality ill comment, I agree. I’m as pro gun as anyone, but see no reason for open carry other than hunting, hiking etc.

I greatly prefer open carry to conceal.  I would rather know who to stay away from.  Conceal should be illegal, open should be legal.

Wanting to stay away from people carrying guns isn't a knock or jab, just personal preference.  I would rather know.

It’s best to assume everyone is carrying. Now you know
You should have been here yesterday

I kind of do.  I stay away from people, not because of guns, but because I assume everybody is crazy.

It would be better if everyone that did not have a gun on their person just wore a florescent pink vest, then anyone with bad intentions would leave the rest of us alone.

And some people wonder why there are 73,505 nonfatal firearm injuries and 33,636 firearm deaths that occur in America every year.

Just think how low that number would be if more people carried guns.

I don't wonder. I know exactly why that happens and I'm ok with it.

Nearly 1,300 kids under the age of 18 die every year from gunshot wounds, and almost 6,000 go to the hospital for non-fatal firearm injuries.

Frankly that is just life.... 500,000 people a year go to the ER due to bicycle accidents. Look at the suffering and burden on the health care system caused by bicycles.

A typical life includes getting shot by someone?

    B.B.
The right to own firearms has long been established and guaranteed by our 2'nd Amendment.
The issue is about pistols and revolvers.
The 10th Amendment gave an individual State the right to pass laws pertaining to the above as long as that law did not infringe on the 2nd Amendment.
    What a mess!
Some states are very liberal about this, like my home state of Florida.  Practically anyone without a criminal record can receive a permit to carry concealed.  A resident who has a carry permit can "open" carry if they're engaged in camping, fishing or hunting.  To me, that's reasonable, unless you're fishing on a public pier..
Others, like N.Y. are much more restrictive.
Personally, I can't agree with open carry anywhere.

Do you know what a Pareto chart is?  Does 6000 out of 330,000,000 constitute "typical"?
