Will be visiting Blue Marlin Cove for the first time. Have heard about the excellent blue water catches, deep dropping, and mutton and grouper fishing off West End. But haven't seen anything about tailing. Have been successful for quite some time using Bimini as home base and running as far as 40 miles south or north for quality tails. Can I get some feedback about tailing around west end [of course not your numbers but just general areas ]...or is my best bet to run south to my spots around Isaac? My experience is that when tailing, you can catch plenty in 45', but fishing in 70'-80' areas usually is home to bigger fish. Your feedback greatly appreciated.

yellowtails.Great fun when a flag tail slams into
your bait when your free lining.Oh,to be younger

One benefit to running north to Memory is that you have pretty protected/shallow water all the way. Probably only 50% of the distance versus running south to Isaac Lighthouse too. To run there, you'd have a LOT of open water to run twice that day. Not always an issue, but something to consider.......
Bring chum and keep in mind that the Big Boys are usually hanging waaaay back so cast as far back as you can, then free spool the bait back.............
I have great success with a naked, yellow jig (3/8 oz or so) tipped with half of a whole, head-on shrimp.....
