I had the chance to meet him back in the day at a CCA board meeting in SW Fl. We stayed an extra day after the meeting to go Snook fishing. He didn't know me from Adams house cat but he jumped at the chance to jump on my skiff and go fishing. It's hard not to like a guy who loves to fish that much. Listening to him on the phone trying to explain to his wife that he wasn't coming home and was rooming with a guy he just met had me cracking up.  "but honey.....the Snook are everwhere"   lol 

IMHO he did more to make fishing great in Florida than anyone else you care to name.
