Algae bloom

A friend fishing Monday said that the gumbo was out to about 40’. Has anyone been inshore or out to 40’ in the last several days that may know if it’s still there. Thanks for any info.

I was out on Tuesday 6/12 fishing west of Homosassa. It was floating thru the entire water column in about 25 feet. Further out at 40 feet it was still there but not as heavy and mainly on the bottom. Made fishing really tough. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I am hoping to fish 35/40’ off Crystal River. I would even set up shallow for cobia but it may be bad there also.

It was spotty inside of 20'. Only got the brown really fibrous kind some last weekend.

No sign of it past 50’ yesterday. Guys that were trolling shallow yesterday said it was really bad.

Thanks. I guess I’ll have to go out of Cedar Key during the week. A lot farther to drive but shorter trip to deep water.
