This Saturday there will be a day of family fun at Lake Panasoffkee where you can will a few bucks.  A link to info can be found at http://www.bigandwild.com/events.html   First 100 kids registered get a free fishing pole.  There will be raffles and silent auctions with many products donated.  All monies raised get split between the Sumter FFA and Everyday Blessings Yes that is $550 for the heaviest 12 panfish (per boat).  One heavy bluegill or shellcracker can get you $150.  I know that Nettles Sausage has supplied stuff for lunch and it is donations only.  If you do not want fish it you can still come out and check out the raffle items.  Last year I was lucky enough to will a Husqvarna pole chainsaw with $20 dollars in raffle tickets.

Sounds like fun. If I were only closer. How was the turn out?

Went great. A little over 40 boats. Every kid got a rising pole and had a great time. Weather cooperated and heals off till we were cleaned up.

Same general time each year. This year on top of all the prize money handed out we raised a little less than 8000 for charity thanks to raffle donations and money donations.
