FPI 6/12

Decided to try again. One of the calmest days I have seen in a long time. Zero wind, no swell. The good news is that making bait was easy. At around 7:45am lots of bait just outside the inlet. Also found large schools of thread fin north in 40 feet. Water inside is still green with lots of jelly’s. Trolled from 40 ft to 65 for Kings for nothing. Saw a sailfish in close, but no takers.  Went to 85 feet and fished the bottom for a couple grunts. Zero current and still green water with lots of jelly fish. No time to go further out to look for clean water as I had a conference call at noon.

Thanks for the intel. Sounds like great boating conditions.

Jelly fish and no current is bad for bottom bite.

Any reports on bottom temps in 80’?
