CCA Start

30 May 2018...Wabasso/Grand Harbor...Weather guessers totally blew this one.  First day of working the CCA STAR tournament.  Not a total failure, managed to get a Silver Prince entry and 18 Conservation entries.  Found the Trout on the open flats, none big enough for Trout entry, same thing with a monster Red, too short.  Snook that came to the boat were too short.  Lost  A Snook that was well over slot, just could not get control.  Tried to get her to circle, but she kept on a straight run. Pulled the hook.  Tarpon were up and active today, jumped 3, really did not feel like playing with them.  Silver Prince was hiding way back in a cut, thought that it was a Jack, no jumps.  Sheepshead are working, but the wind killed any chances of getting an accurate flip.  Most of today’s players were caught on the Baby Vudu Shrimp and Rapala Rip Stop.  A big thank you to the moron who left 20 yards of mono in the water, got wrapped in the trolling motor.  Getting really good at getting the prop off and clearing out the mess.  Also, be careful in the river, hit a submerged branch just off of the channel, so far motor ok.

Nice work.  Guess you call that a Super Slam?

I've heard it referred to as an inshore grand slam but it's a great achievement by any name. Congrats!
