Democracy at his end in Europe; fascism is coming back disguised as anti-fascism.
Beware your steps guys, save your freedom before is too late.

In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love; they had five hundred years of democracy and peace and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock.

What do modern "populists" have in common.

They hate immigrants and people of color.
They support isolationism and other backwards economic models.
They prey on voters ignorance and hate.
They lie and rely on "alternative facts" to deceive voters.
The are experts at demagoguery and demeaning people who are not like them.

The last three sound like you're describing the mainstream media.
At any rate, with the wide spread government corruption/criminal actions, unsustainable welfare/immigration policies, and less than democratic behavior of the political parties, populist rhetoric is easy to sell.

Someone brought up Venezuela - the 'pink tide' is a failure and in decline throughout the Americas  :)
If that is what you think of most mainstream media and our government then you really are an extremely misinformed russian fake news pawn...
Heck, it's so bad Elon Musk plans to set up a media/journalist rating site due widespread msm dishonesty.

WRONG again, it is so BAD for Elon Musk because he is just a young Trump. If he can't control the outcome, attack the messenger and those calling him out. His corp. is doing terrible, they want to know why ? His answer, these are BORING questions. That is his way of NOT answering. Just another Fascist hiding in America... Why don't you send him back if he doesn't like the rules ? Because you believe his propaganda ! It fits your hate

Balla for an Italian you seem to have an odd idea of what fascism is
Just for clarification, what does fascism mean to you?

For instance not accepting the popular vote protesting and boycotting, using regime media/celebrities/actors/etc. to influence people with fake news and propaganda, organizing riots of violent squads on the streets during the electoral campaigns and anytime is necessary, using the institutional powers (e.g. courts) to attack political enemies and to enforce their ideological dogmas (e.g. transgender restrooms), etc.
All things that the historic fascists/na.zis have done and the new fascists/na.zis are now doing.

Oh, fascism is also to condemn the natural human reactions (someone uses the term "populism") instead than the causes of those reactions, therefore the politically correct dictatorship (used even to distract by the embarrassing incapacity to rule in a decent way the countries: sweet words, bad or no acts).

Well, I know I just described left wing people, but facts are facts. Sorry.

It's true, in fact the point is that the UE wants to keep Italy as a servant because they are scared of our potential.
And unfortunately some Italians are that crooked traitors the UE establishment needs for its plan.

What are these natural human reactions you speak of?

as to suppression of dissent, all governments do this using all available tools, it's not solely the actions of fascism
it's worth noting the Italian fascist government of the 20s to the 40s used extremely violent suppression of political rallies and or demonstrations against pro immigration movements and especially against Marxists
one of the main pillars of fascism is nationalist mentality and the false belief in race and the supremacy of one group of people over others based on nationality and ethnicity
fascism is much more than merely trying to suppress ideas and opinions
    you make a weak comparison

Authoritarianism is the devil. Believing that anyone has the right to rule over others is pure evil.  Some people on the right/left think they can rule others... Eff them all.

The reason our founders wrote and signed the Declaration of Independence.
And then the Bill of Rights.
Authoritarianism , Monarchies, Dictatorships and even true democracy stifle Liberty and individualism.

so does corporatism, which most of the founders despised having been subjected to it via the British system of state sponsored monopolies, one of the neglected lessons of the American Revolution

Absolutely.  And, the govt (local and fed) has grown sooo much, under the guise of safety and best interests of the population; this has allowed the large corporations to "influence" or lobby for their gain.
Few policies, regulations, or laws are written that do not benefit some kind of "special interests".  Hence, why I detest the govt being so involved in our daily lives...

It not the government per se, but the people we elect. And our entire population falls into many special interest groups.

That is a very curious (and convenient) definition of fascism, Balla.  You seem to have forgotten the authoritarian, populist and racist slants of prior iterations in your haste to liken it to the left in your country.

Racism isn't a problem, at least in my country.
The others problems I said are instead real in my country (and according to what I can see also in your country), including authoritarianism.

How you define a president that negate the right to rule at the ones who have won the elections ?
Is possibile in USA, for the president (in the country where the president has that huge power) to cancel the election results ?
How would you react if Trump would lost the middle-term election and he'll cancel the result ?

How do you define a commonwealth (UE) which want interfer with a country sovereignity ?
Have the USA ever accepted foreing interference in its internal issues ?
How would you react if another country would decide for you your politics ?

I'm not sure most of you guys are really aware of what is happening here.

It’s not racism to defend your culture and way of life.
I guess we were racist to go to war with Imperial Japan?

    BS, as usual.

Racism means hating someone for his ethnicity, without any reason. Not a problem here, never been a my problem, never been a problem for most Italians.

Very different is hating crimes and bad behaviors and when you analyze the facts it appears clear that some particular ethnicity have increased the crime, have barbaric habits and, the worst thing, they claim to enforce their laws, not ours. Statistic, nothing more.

Or must I think you like infibulation, women in chains like slaves, abused kids, tribal murders and riots, rapes, religious radicalism and so on ?
Well, just in case I'm sorry to not agree with you, but me and most of us have a different view.

This is a big country. We need a big government.

One that serves the interests of its'  human citizens before its' corporate citizens.

    Wanting a strong community doesn't mean you're a communist.

    Wanting a healthy society doesn't mean you're a socialist.
