1 for 5 tarpon last night

Fished a great outgoing last night with decent winds.  The first 3 hours were terribly boring, minus some good car conversations with my guest... just nothing happening.  Then, as the wind laid down and switched directions, a switch went off and we had a good hour and a half of pretty consistent action.  Lost a couple fish to the pilings and a couple to broken leaders, but had a blast still.  Nothing big last night... fish ranged from 25-50 pounds... my favorite size.

    Keith,

Not sure what hours you were fishing, but I'm a bit surprised there wasn't an early bite.  Moonset was at 9:45PM and would have expected a bit of a bite then.   Perhaps the fish were holding a bit far away from the bridges and it took some time to get there -- that happens sometimes up my way.

In any event, we're planning on going out tonight for a few hours and hope to have the same results.

    Take care...Mike

Yeah, you could be right.  I saw a few on the side scan but couldn't get them to eat.
Going out again tonight to a different spots... expecting better results.  Fingers crossed.
