Noob with an upcoming Fishing trip to Eastpoint

A couple buddies of mine are heading out to the area and looking for some info on when certain species will be in the area. I have a boat and can travel up/around SGI/DI.  My questions are:

1.  Tarpon - When does the tarpon bite start? Hit it's peak?
2.  Snaps - any particular "known/non-secrect" spots one could PM me with ?
3.  Groups - Same as #2.

Thanks in advance.

You have to put in the time....but maybe a few will have pity on you

try spoil islands, drop offs, grass flats, etc.

Check the other posts. Quite a few fishing those areas. Someone will chime in.

Don't Tarpon fish, so I can't answer when they start. I don't usually see people fishing for them till summer.

#'s 2 & 3. Lots of public #'s out there and good bottom also. https://www.floridagofishing.com/reefs/nw-reefs-franklin-county.html  there are other listings as well, just a simple google search. A lot of the reefs are in areas of good bottom. The SGI bridge reef should produce snapper.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you

Annual tarpon migration usually begins later part May and full swing in June. Reds are in full swing now along shore lines inside SGI and DI , oyster bars are also good. Spanish mackerel and pompano are feeding. Gag grouper season just opened in state waters, google Franklin County reefs for some good public numbers.
    good luck

Also Google maps is your friend. Go to satellite and explore the shorelines.

Awesome info guys.  I'm checking the link to the  reefs slough posted once my Internet comes back on .

      So much for Technology. Lol

do the winds typically die down towards the latter part of April?   I have a 19' and don't want to venture too far off DI and get caught
