Boca-Delray-3-31

Took my son and his buddy out today.  Started off trolling strips from planers and lures on top outside the inlet.  Got his in 400 on WWB lure.  Came unbuttoned after a few headshakes.  Trolled for next hour with only a small bonito to show.  Pulled lines in and off we went offshore.  Lots of weedlines out there.  Most had no bait on them.  If we didn't see bait, we kept on going.  950 off Delray found a good weedline.  Only jacks on it.  Kept going a bit and found a summer patch of week in 1100.  Huge weedline.  Pulled up to biggest patch and started chunking.  Only had squid and bonito strips-left the sardines at home.  Dumb mistake. Small dolphin came out to play and kept us busy for over an hour.  Could not get the bull to eat.  If we had live bait................ maybe.  Went out to 15-16 miles out-nothing going on out there.  Came back and trolled out front of Boca Inlet for a40 minutes.  Lost a king on the WWB lure (loved that lure-will have to make another).

Fish are out there.  Need to run and gun a lot-but you will find them.

FYI-Big weedline/patch was off of Delray.  If you find it tomorrow first, it will be game one.  Good luck everyone.
