FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — The suspect in the Florida high school shooting that killed 17 is getting letters of support in jail including fan mail and pictures of scantily-clad women in addition to hundreds of dollars in contributions to his commissary account.

On March 15, a teenager sent a letter from Texas inside an envelope with happy faces and hearts.

"I'm 18-years-old. I'm a senior in high school. When I saw your picture on the television, something attracted me to you," the letter stated. "Your eyes are beautiful and the freckles on your face make you so handsome."

Jeez, go rescue a lost puppy or something.

This might kind of publicity that these psychos get might be part of the reason they act out???
It would be nice if the media did not help make them famous.  Perhaps, it would thwart the motives of the next mass murderer.

Don't know about the "daddy " issues but with internet social interchanges, it's impossible to keep anything quiet anymore. It's not just the media, it's the way the world is now.

Can't control the internet totally, but the news media is the one's stoking the fire.

    This makes sense ...

ATTN: Were there any commonalities you found with the women who were attracted to men in prison?

Isenberg: The real crux of the whole thing is that these are all women who are damaged. In their earlier lives they’ve been abused either by their parents, their fathers, their first husbands, their boyfriends, whatever. They’ve been sexually abused, psychologically, emotionally abused. These are women who've been hurt. And when you’re in a relationship with a man in prison. He’s in prison. He’s not going to hurt you. He can’t hurt you. So you’re always in a state of control because you’re the one who’s on the outside. You’re free. You go in and you visit him. You can decide whether to accept his collect phone calls. So in a way, even though cons are very manipulative—that’s why we call them con men and they are manipulative with the women—it’s still up to the woman to decide how far she wants to go and she knows she can't be hurt. And every single woman I interviewed had been abused in the past and that's what I found out. That was the big secret.

A weird thing to be completely wrong about in the middle of a point. Unless "con men "is pet name for convicts with girlfriends? Seems unlikely.

If the side that is using this issue to advance their gun agenda really cared, they would not have 24/7 new coverage of it for 2 months.

Yeah.  There is a cost to living in a free society.  Should a background check be required to exercise freedom of speech?  Remember we have been told that hate speech causes death and injury.

just a minor point from a researcher who was interviewing the women ... most cons will con you if you give them a chance so he was both wrong and right at the same time.  Maybe his middle name was Schrodinger.

Funny how some can see how the media works.  It's almost like the want more mass murders?

Ive seen/read little about the thwarted attack in Maryland. Or any of the kids killed since in gang violence in liberal cities, or any kids killed by drunk drivers, or texting while driving, etc...?

Do a little research on beta males. You'll learn a lot about the effects of consensus thought and indoctrination. People like Cruz are their gross and they want to emulate them
