Other Countries and the NE US Are Out Of Their Mind On Guns. Check It Out

AC ManAC Man Posts: 7,312 Admiral
I don't know how I got Quara Digest on my Email but I dd. It is a world wide questions and answers forum. Mostly anti american, and especially when it comes to guns.

Here is a example of a recent topic question.....

How come all semiautomatic weapons aren’t banned in the U.S.A.? It seems a bit absurd that someone would need anything more than a revolver to protect themselves

It only gets worse if you read it on the site......They all hate us. Big surprise. I wish I could get thru to these water heads.

This is the reason thatthe framers of the Constitution wanted us to have firearms. It was so important to them that they made it our Second Amendment. It's also one line long. It also mentions shall not be infringed.

If you ask most leftist; they replaced a god with an all knowing-govt.  and that govt is supposed to wipe their runny nose and cradle them to their graves..

america can was founded in judeo-Christian values, and they despise that.  Our country is literally the best system of govt in the history of the world.
Even if you do not believe in any kind of supreme being; it is difficult to deny the values that created this society.

And eff anyone that wants us to turn into what failed states reside in other areas of the world.

Have never understood why so many people go through their lives worrying about what other people's opinion of them might be.

I could  not care any less what someone in another country thinks about my right to bare arms or anything else.

You missed the point. The person asking the question doesn't know a revolver is in reality a semi auto. Each time you pull the trigger it goes bang. Don't you see that?

I certainly did miss that point, and of course I see it.

I still don't think they hate us or are anti-American.

    We can disagree without hate.

It is hate and bigotry, which causes the banners to make naive, foolish, and uniformed statements about guns and gun owners.

BTW, I received 500 rounds of .17WSM via UPS in two days from FT Worth, TX. Try that in Sweden and let me know how it works out for you.

You've been lucky. Me, I've had a 38 revolver held point blank on the back of my head by a nice young black gentleman while another pillaged my pockets for whatever they could find. Now I carry a firearm for protection. I think of it like a spare tire and hope to never use it but will if needed.

    Good luck to you!

Lol, the argument that was made was if you aren't armed, you are a victim.  I simply demonstrated said argument is a fallacy.  I never made the claim you are attempting to apply to my post.

Which depending on where you live that may or may not make sense.  There are certain areas of the country where I would not feel safe, and thus would want a save guard.  But where I currently reside there just isn't a need.  Heck I leave my house unlocked with garage doors open pretty much all day on the weekends.  Needless to say I don't live in Detroit or Chicago.  Either way, bringing firearms in my house for protection is completely unnecessary and statistically increases my family's risk by accidental shooting.  Just saying, not being armed doesn't equate automatically to being a victim.

I've never been in a major car wreck so there really isn't a need for me to wear my seat belt.

My house has never burned down, so there's no reason to keep a fire extinguisher handy.

I've never been in a boat that sank, so I shouldn't have to keep life vests on board.

    How's that for logical fallacy?
Wow, it is astonishing how readily folks cannot  follow a sequence of events.  You literally are fighting an argument nobody made, what is more pathetic is the silly cheerleading for fighting said imaginary fight.

"Be armed or be a victim."

The above quote implies there are two choices, "be armed" as the first.  The second, "be a victim."  I merely pointed out that there are more than those two choices.  But you know, hey keep making my post about something it wasn't, because you know..  guns?  Honestly I don't know why people read to respond versus reading to understand.

Helen Keller, stop being so defensive.

How about this, if you choose not to exercise your 2nd amendment rights, all the more power to you...just stop attempting to strip that right from others, and suddenly all these discussions become moot.

Helen Keller?  Wow, I haven't heard that one since grade school.  And I have no interest in stripping anybody's right to bear arms...  so again, you are fighting an argument I have never made.  Why?

Good you have exercised your rights and had a good outcome.  Sounds like you have a good formula for self care and governance.  I have had equal success exercising my rights.  We should each live our lives without intrusion from the other, don't you think?
