Where do you fish inshore when the wind is howling? North/south fork?

I know theres fish back in the north fork of the saint lucie where I live. problem is I never put in any time in the back waters to know wether its worth it to spend time back there or not.Usually fish from the roosevelt outward to the inlet, around the crossroads, and up to the plant. My question is: where do you guys fish when the wind is blowing? Is it worth the time spent prospecting mangrove shore lines in the north fork?  Or Has the runoff from the lake made the fishing so far back not worth the time? Any help is much appreciated.

Fishing back there is a waste of time.

Water quality is just starting to clear up.  I live off Bessy Creek and have just started to see JellyFish show up which indicates some improvement.   Haven't fished up that way for awhile so can't give you a current read.

No kidding! I have caught plenty of snook, poons, jacks, and snapper north of PSL Blvd in the past 2 years. It's been few years since I caught a redfish but they are there as well.

Plenty of snook, jacks and tarpon. Id hit the many docks and sea walls.

Last week It was slow banging the mangroves by my house up in the north fork but I did catch a bass and my first redfish up there in 3 years. The bass was bigger than the redfish but I was excited to see it that far up. And yes the small jellyfish are all over as well. Water is still dirty but is better than a few months ago.

First stingray showed up yesterday and you can see a little further into the water so it’s clearing up.   C23 spillway not churning out water/ muck etc which contributes to dirty water.  Tides a little higher allowing for a better flush with changes.
