3/25 from Ft Pierce

Very slow today.  Went straight east from the inlet. Started trolling around 15 miles out and went out to 300 ft.  Came back in and found a broken up weed line at about 200ft.  Trolled that and got nothing.  There were small bait fish but nothing else.  Came all the way in to 120 and found another big weed line but again nothing.   Went back out to the west wall of the stream (about 17 miles / 150 ft) and trolled south for a while.  Kicked up some of the biggest schools of flying fish I've ever seen but same result - nothing.  Bottomline we went for a long boat ride.  I picked up a few conversations on the radio and it sounded like everyone was having the same day as us.  Hopefully there are some better days ahead......Curious if anyone else had better luck.

I was short on time and just ran inshore to 60 feet to bottom fish. I saw water was only 69 degrees and new it would be slow. Got trigger fish dinner but not much more. I dont mahi fish until they are here.

I've been getting a few mahi but not like the fall.  Any thoughts when they will be back, april??, may?

Saturday went to 150 ft but the water temp didn't go over 71 degrees. Nice weed line with working terns, after one hour, no strikes. Went bottom fishing and had to move around a lot to get away from the dozens of 3 foot sharks.
Finally found a spot and caught a few nice mangroves and lanes.

Thanks for the reports guys, I hope to get home soon. This info is very valuable to saving a little time on the water.
