Double Branch Kayak launch question

Hey all...new to Kayaking, about to take the maiden voyage, and just have a quick question...Ive seen the kayak launch/ramp at Double Branch in videos, and have a question about returning/landing at the end of the day...can I float my kayak back onto the ramp and pull myself up with the rails or do you have to pull up to the dock and step out? Im asking because being my first time launching and landing I want it to be as easy as possible without having to try to stand up and step onto a dock and lift the kayak form the water...

I've only fished and yaked there once. I don't remember it being difficult. Just wear thick soled booties you can get out any where it is shallow.

If you want an easy no brain launch, just before Ft desoto on the right there is a small grass field with a 10=15 foot opening in the mangroves.

I just saw you were in LKLD, the skyway is the same drive time as DB. All highway.

Also cockroach and bishop harbor are closer and easy launches.

I'm an old guy and I have to get the kayak steady to get in and out, either sideways against the bank or paddle it on a ramp.  Sometimes I'll roll out and stand up later.  The easiest way is from about calf or knee deep water if you're not afraid to get wet.

Went to Double Branch today, the ramp is awesome....float off and float back on. Didn't have any luck with fish but learned a bunch about how to maneuver the kayak in wind and anchoring up. Fun day!
