Lobster Season Crowd

I'm trying to plan a trip by boat to Abaco but the only time I can go is around the weekend of August 3, right at the start of lobster season.  I stopped going to the Keys during lobster season 15 years ago to avoid the crowds.  Do the Bahamas experience the same surge of people during lobster season as they do in the Keys?

There is a good push of people that go over for lobster season.  Just remember you can't bring any back until the US season is also open.  I wouldn't say it gets crowed but there is more people there that week than the week before.  After the first week in August is over the Bahamas enters their slow season and several places close down until November or so. 

We went last year for the first week and stayed at Green Turtle and Boat Harbour.  Had no problem getting slips.  Seaspray had a decent crowed. I think we may do it again this year.

We are also crossing Aug 3rd to West End, for the first Cape Horn rendezvous! Hope to see you on the water....
