Ran offshore with pops to see if we could find dinner and break in the new fly reel. Couldn't find bait so we can to about 75' and started trolling. Had 3 sails come up but didn't hook any of them. We did get a pretty big bonita. Figured hey atleast we have cut bait now. Setup over the reef and got a mixed bag on bottom. Small grouper, small AJs, bluefish, stonefish. Pretty much everything other than something to keep. Got lucky and had a mahi come by. Not a monster but good enough to invite home for dinner. Ran back in and played with the spanish macs before heading home. Got a stellar day but got dinner and caught fish so much better than work.

Mac were all over pecks and north of the inlet too.

Went out Saturday and the Mac's were on steroids (30 inches and not baby Kings) and abundant.
