I have no doubt the Admins of this site performed their due diligence before adopting this new forum platform.
Would it be possible to provide a couple of non-content related forums which have successfully implemented this same forum platform, and are now booming. It would be a great way for your users to provide feedback as to which functions and layouts they would like to see on FSFF.
