The Winter Olympics are 10 days away
I know little about winter sports, but I will watch as much as I can and cheer for the Americans. Additionally, have the games in the Republic of Korea has some interesting storylines.

I really like the bobsleigh.
And the Luge.
I was hoping for something a little more provocative.
Ski jumping ROCKS!
I AM NOT A RACIST
Anyone here actually attended the Olympics as an athlete? Spectator?
Women's curling is pretty solid
Check out her form! Perfect.....
'84 Summer Olympics. Saw Track and field, women's volleyball and weightlifting.
I had to look it up, but I remember those games. Were you living in LA?
Saw a woman's basketball game in Atlanta the day after the bombing. The whole thing was less than memorable.
Women’s figure skating

Not my blame if you do something that matches what I don't like.

It's on NBC I will not watch 1 second of it. And yes I worked the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid
I went down that bobsled run 21 years after that. Got a pic of it somewhere, but I thing it’s on a 3.5 floppy.
Downhill ski racing is THE event in the Winter Olympics.
I attended three events at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
Basketball: Uganda vs South Korea. Guess which team was all over 6'6". Guess which team was all under 5'5".
Men's gymnastics. **** those guys are good. All of them.
The Decathlon. Classic track and field events. The champion wasn't the biggest or strongest. The champion had the best technique.
I had a great time at all the events because of the crowd of people around me. Everyone was in a super good mood and very happy. No drunks or fist fights in the stands.
What is that the Ukranian curling team, i remember them from the last olympics. Definitely worth the price of admission.
I was a site coordinator for the Atlanta games
Watch out for the yellow snow.
Lindsey Vonn is worth watching. She's pretty darn good.
I like the snowman building competition.
That’s true.
To me is good if she wins the gold for beauty and let the Olympic golds to Sofia Goggia

Go get'em Lindsey! Break a leg!
They are neck to neck, Lindsey beat her last week by 2/100 of a second I believe it was.
Lindsey beat Sofia (If I remember well) by 3/100 on Saturday and by 8/100 on Sunday.
The revenge at the Olympic games
Jokes aside Lindsey is one of the greatest of any time, Sofia could become a great one in the next couple of years.
I would happy if they will get at least a gold each one.
Edit: 2/100 on Saturday (you are right) and 11/100 on Sunday

Goggia got the gold, Lindsey the bronze.
What wonderful women, they are both in the Legend.

Could you imagine riding a luge? They run between 80-90 mph laying on their back feet 1st. They're braver than I am.
The Guinness World Record for street luge is 101.9 mph (164 km/h) and was set in 2016 by American Mike McIntyre. Going that fast you just close your eyes & hang on.
Luge would be fun if you knew what you were doing. Do they have luge tracks that are similar to bunny hills for beginners or the first time do you just fly down and hope for the best.
This gals (and the men also) are really amazing.
Half bravery, half insanity
When I was young (I have been a nice skier) and impulsive I tried to down hill the whole Olympic track at Crans Montana (Switzerland) but I miserably failed (at least three stops).
