I'm not sure....the forum platform calls it part of Gratification, a way to have some fun with members, encourage quality posts, add to the community. I think if the point winners were the result of posting exceptional fishing reports, boat restoration photos, hunting insights we'd be motivated to reward point winners with some FS swag, but right now the leaders are all coming from Off Topic. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but what people ultimately want when they come to the FS Forum is to share and gather information about other members experiences in Florida's great outdoors.

If you have some ideas what we can do with the points we're all ears. It's your community.

Get rid of them.......make room for something useful......like thread preview or highlight of your previous posted on threads.......or maybe just figure out how to turn it on.
