Need to get my Steering Rebuilt...

There used to be a company in Palm Harbor (ish) called steering rebuilders but I BELIEVE the gentleman passed away.

Any other suggestions for getting this done? I added some fluid because it was low and it is leaking like a stuck pig...

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Tight Lines.

Call Jimmy at Extreme Marine. He re-did the steering on my Grady 306 bimini 3 years ago. Solid work.

Are you thinking about Southern Charm, Pinellas Park, 727-546-7257. I forget his name he's retired but still involved. This is his new venture http://boaterstore.com/service.html. If it's leaking from the front it might be the o-ring directly behind the wheel and behind the washer/keeper with the 3 screws. Easy fix. It's been almost 2 years ...contact me to go fishing on my sled!

I THINK it is coming from the back somewhere but haven't really dug into it....that will be this weekends project. Thanks for the referrals.

Hose and Hydraulics in Clearwater, incredibly knowledgeable and fast turnaround. 13088 60th St N, Clearwater. I've used southern charm also, no complaints.

That ring is actually a #210 Quad Ring if you have a 3/4" steering shaft, not an O-ring. As indicated, it is an easy fix if that is the problem. This seems to be the most common place for leaks and it often seems like the leak is on the bottom since the oil used is very low viscosity and seeps down the sides of the housing.
