Foggy Fri Dec 22 Caxambas Pass and beyond.........

Launched Fri Dec 22 @ Caxambas Pass.
Fog was very, very thick with an outgoing tide.
Water was 68.8f
Cranked the big motor and SLOWLY putted around to Marco point.
With the girlfriend and her friend, caught 2 small jacks and 1 small mackerel.
Could barely see the 20+story condo's through the fog.
Did manage 30+ greenbacks, 3" long. Into the livewell they went.
Headed south using GPS (had 50 yards visibility) on the Gulf.
Went to bubble houses for pictures. Wheee!
Tossed a free-lined greenback out and hooked up a 3' bonnethead.
Managed 3 more before continuing as the fog finally started to lift.
Into the Morgan River and we got 7 keeper trout, 16-18 inches.
Went towards the ramp and got a few small trout, jacks and ladyfish.
Mostly bucktails tipped with shrimp were the ticket and the shiners in the river.
Tally for the day:
20+ trout with the 7 keepers
Many jacks/ladyfish and 2 catfish.
6 mango's on live bait shiners (all 8-9")
1 6"lane snapper.

A decent day.

Will be out Weds Dec 27th for the final 2017 adventure!
See you then! Be safe.
