1955 Fully Restored Orlando Clipper Flats skiff.
This was my grandfathers boat, and many of you on here followed the restoration. As much as it is part of our family history, with our other boat, we do not use it, and do not do it justice by just keeping it in the garage. Since we restored it in 2008, we have only put 5-10 hours on the motor.
Here are the details:
1955 Orlando Clipper
Very low hour Mercury 2 stroke with electric start AND trim and tilt
Great White trolling motor on disconnect mount
Forward casting platform is from Egret Boats and is carbon Kevlar.
Second, alternate forward platform comes with the boat, and is comfortable for sitting
LED nav lights
Bulge pump
12v bubbler baitwell
16’ moonlighter pushpole
RCarbon stick it pole
2 bank on board charger
Egret helm cushion
Custom B&M trailer
The deck was built custom by Line-X in Sarasota. The entire boat has Line-x, which cleans very easy in the inside, and makes the hull very quiet against slap.
This boat is extremely shallow as you can see from the after pic of the boat.
It poles super shallow, or you can disconnect the trolling motor, sit on the bow, and “walk” the boat. I have done that behind George’s Bar, and it is amazing how close you can get to redfish that way.
I would love to see this boat used by someone every week. It is not only great for the flats, but is also a tremendous small lake boat.
The pictures did not load well, so I can text pictures to anyone interested.
Price is $3800
