Good fishing in Pine Island before this blow
Once the weather had settled after the previous front, it turned into a really good week of this past week. All it took was a bit of stable weather. We went to winter skinny mode overnight it seemed like. Even broke out the wading boots a couple few days early last week. Broke my personal best snook and jack on fly to boot. Lots of slot and overslot snook, crazy amounts of good sized jacks, assorted tailing redfish, and decent sized trout. I wish the fishing was like this more often. All fish we caught in various northern Matlacha Pass spots. West side of Pine Island. Started to blow today and all I could manage was an average trout and a few 15 to 20 inch snook. I hate wind!
