Pecan pie

Every crappy one I have had had a group of people claiming its the best.

"Best" and "pecan pie" are mutually exclusive.

There might be a "least worst", but I'll never know.

Pretty much all pie is good. Even mincemeat...eat that stuff right out of the bottle. My wife makes an awesome key lime from my limes, grahmcracker crust, etc. VERY good. Pumpkin is best cold for breakfast. Pecan, **** good, but almost too sweat, can you say High Fructose Corn Syrup?

Don't really like the store bought "pies" that are all fake cream stuff. Publix makes awful pies and cakes.

I agree. I like good quality coconut custard and key lime the best but can eat them all if they are well made. Having said that, I am not into cake that much unless it is a plain old pound cake with ice cream on the side.

They are getting higher since the Chinese have started buying them. My sister in law inherited a 50 acre grove that her uncle farms & everyone they get goes to China.

That is a lot of pies, labor of love for her I'd bet..:)

I love pecan pie....that and pumpkin pie. Don't much care for sweets in general but I can't pass up a slice of pecan pie. Good eats. That and raw almonds.
