Trolling Motor Repair Assistance

I'm in Miami/Hialeah. I've left several messages for Shallow Water Customs, who has serviced my boats for years. Don't know if they're still open or not, but he voicemail message is still theirs. I live too far away for Master Repair as the motor remains on the boat.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Try Inshore Marine Specialist. They just became a Minn Kota service center and do great work.

If Islamorada is closer for you, try Jenn Weiden of Islamorada Boats. "Keywest Jenn" from the old forum.

Either you are mechanically inclined ore your not. The fact you had to ask told me that you can not do it. Its ok, not every one has this ability. Some people just have to pay.

If you Google shallow water customs you'll see his addresses recently changed. He seems to be having a hard time adjusting to the new space and would understand if you're having problems reaching him.

    Update!!

I picked up my trolling motor from Mark at Shallow Water Customs after 40 phone calls (no kidding!)! I went down to Flamingo and halfway through my first shoreline the motor stopped working. Put it up to go to my next spot and there was so much water in the lower unit that it ran up the tube and out the head. I took it to Bob at Inshore Marine and they flushed it and I have a $300 bill for a brand new lower unit and the tube. That is after the hundred that I wasted. Bob said the circuitry in the head is sealed and should be fine. One of the gaskets was not replaced!!!

I hope no one went to Shallow Water Customs on my recommendation. Thought I was doing a good thing helping Mark out with some business :banghead
