Was my brothers birthday earlier in the week and wanted him to catch something nice but Maria kept that from happening until yesterday. Headed out of SI with the plan of finding anything lurking under the weedlines and mats formed from the recent hurricanes.
A couple miles east of the inlet we found plenty of undersized tripletail under the debris. After throwing back several we decided to head out further for something larger. The 4 foot waves weren't an issue and found huge weed mats in the 160 ft depth. Was able find several 22-25 lber cobia's that we had a blast sight casting our oversized mullet to.
Am ecstatic we were able to bloody up the boat for the belated birthday celebration!!!
