No Motor Zone Access

In early 1990's used to launch my canoe at KARS or outside south gate of CCAFS and paddle up to the KSC causeway. Fun times and alot of redfish! Moved to Stuart in 1997 and have not fished there since. Want to bring wife up late October and try it again, but not sure of access points or any changes. Any updated advice would be greatly appreciated. And...if in Stuart I can reciprocate! Thanks.

Kars is open and you can camp out there also. Good luck

i think you need to purchase an annual pass. So you may want to google it in advance. The water is still brown but there are fish still there.

You can put in there but camping is for KSC employees only.

I believe there is also a launch fee of $5 for non-members. I fished from there Monday. The east riverside damage is pretty bad. I have a KAR's pass and I'm also KSC badged. I would possibly interested in a trade.

Thanks for the replies. KARS put in is my desired spot (used to be KSC employee). I'll call them to inquire about non-badged. Don't need a ramp or anything, just a shoreline. Hope the brown water clears up and the temps drop a bit. Redfish in late October up there used to be fun. Lived in Stuart now since 1997 and switched up to offshore since I can get good fish 6 miles off (not 26!). Thanks again!

Hmmm, website says this:

Gates are open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. The Park Office is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM To reach The Country Store call (321) 867-7967 for assistance. KARS Park I is monitored by a Park Attendant from 6 AM – 10 PM, 7 days a week. It is also monitored by video cameras 24/7. Any person entering the park must possess and present a current valid KARS Park Membership Card and photo ID.
