Considering how much tax revenue Texas provides the federal government, Id say your post is a massive failure.
I looked it up Texas was 2nd in paying into the feds. PR was dead last.
Texas pd $279,904,425
PR pd $3,524,557
Not really - look at revenue per capita.
DC (WOW 38K) DE (24K) MN (19K), CT (16K), NJ (17).
CA and TX, #1 and #2 in total are just 10K per capita.
And good ol' FL (9K)!
That's fine & dandy per capita, but Texas still paid the money in. Statistics are like anything you can bend them to fit your agenda. Just like the one I got this off of. Be cause you really have to deduct what the feds pay back to the states.
Except it could be argued that higher populated states (with more people, building, boats, property) end up with more damage. Therefore the per capita needs after a storm are higher.
