Last scallop trip of 2017 out of Hernando

We decided to try and get some scallops one last time before the season ended. Was worried about water clarity from all the rain and winds from the hurricane though. So we get out, and my worries came to fruition. Just complete brownish, greenish pea soup. The new moon current was ripping as well. We worked in 7-9' area and the vis was almost zero. Couldn't see the grass until a foot or two from your mask. Made for lots of blind breath holds and lots of working, but surprisingly the salinity must have been ok because the scallops were there. Just had to find them, and kick our butts off through the current. Had to work hard for them but we got our limit in a few hours.
Now it's time to eat!
