Boca water conitions?

Hey guys, big bender here heading down next week to fish Boca for a couple days with my father. He hired a guide and our target is going to be snook. How is the water down there right now? Just got back from an epic day this past Sunday at Cedar Key smashing the reds. Mostly upper slot, fat & happy in the usual spots. The trout however were almost completely shut off on the flats. Only got one keeper between two of us. Not sure if it was the chocolate milk water, the wind, or a combination.
The snook aren't very common this far north and I miss the action they bring. Hoping Irma didn't screw things up for our trip.

It's brown but the fishing is good.
Tarpon... everything else is just bait.

Fishing in all the passes is really good. Neighbor got 25 snook in a 3/4 day trip last Monday.

Fishing for Snook and Reds seems to be just fine in most areas, but the water is dark as can be still

fishing out near the passes and beaches seem to be good, but the farther up the harbor you go the tougher fishing gets. You can go to the spillway and the bite is pretty good also.

Gents, thank you for the info. Just got back from the most epic trip ever! Went out with Captain Danny Latham and I have to say he was the best guide I have had to date. My pops and I landed over 200 fish in two full days of fishing. Mostly snook, with some good sized trout and reds mixed in, but snook were the mainstay by far. Captain Danny showed up each day with the wells PACKED with greenies and he knew the right spots to hit on certain tides. The first day my dad hauled in a 35" snook that was fat as all get out, and a top slot fish as well that we threw in the cooler. I pulled in mostly smalls but managed a 26.5" red that we also kept as well as a 25" trout. Day two I landed my biggest snook to date, a 38"er. Danny worked his *** off for us and helped make it a really memorable trip for my father and I.
I would absolutely recommend Danny to anyone looking to book a charter out of BG. I'm already planning a follow-up trip next year.

Word to the wise: The island of Boca Grande is basically shut down this time of year. Only 2 restaurants open and the place is like a ghost town. Stayed at the Boca Grande hotel and pretty sure we were one of only 2 rooms booked. It was kind of creepy really.

That is Florida summer at its finest - good fishing and no one around. Don't tell anyone.
