Mosquito Lagoon - Anyone been post hurricane Irma? Ramps open?

Curious if anyone has been to Riverbreeze post Irma. Thinking about scoping it out Friday.

Went by River Breeze Park Saturday afternoon, ramps were not blocked off, and docks looked good.

I was at riverbreeze on friday, went out in the morning early and when I came back in they had some orange cans blocking off the ramp.

Has anyone checked it this week?

I never made it out, but am going Saturday. Sure hope it is open. Information is scarce at best. By the way, did you catch any fish? Were things a mess with super high water?

Check the volusia county website under news releases, they are updating the lists of openenings / closings, but I'm not sure if its accurate since it said It was closed the day I went out.

I got one decent red sight fished on fly in an area where I found some cleaner water. The fish seemed pretty normal, but they have access to a lot of new places now, I heard some way back in the creeks.

Riverbreeze was open. I think the orange barrels were there because the lights were out, so you could line up with the ramps.

Ended up catching 6 reds, 3 snook (which is very odd for me on the flats), a few small trout, tons of ladyfish and jacks.

Water was in great shape. Looked a little more fresh than normal (quite stained).

    Good luck!

Haulover bridge is back open, not sure if the ramps there are open though?

The Merritt Island Refuge Facebook page said that Bairs Cove ramp is open.

Intersting. The middle and north lagoon water was in great shape! Very surprised to see that.
