Port Canaveral public ramp status?

Does anyone know how the ramp and floating docks fared? Thanks.

I just drove over and the road is closed off by the fuel depot so I couldn't get eyes on the ramps. The ramp by scorpion marine is also closed. Looks like they had some damage to the gangway that leads to their dock. Kelly park's ramps are open but since the docks are submerged and hard to see, it's only a matter of time until someone crashes into them.

    Just the messenger here:

Fox 35 news had a story tonight that port canaveral is closed for recreational until further notice. only merchant mariner vessels and cruise ship evacuees for now. my opinion is the gas draw is so massive they are focusing on getting fuel in and out as primary concern. also floating debris and docks and platforms are navigational hazard. will keep listening for more updates.

Thanks for the info. I whiled away time before and during the storm re-rigging kingfish and pin rigs and now I've got the fevah.

Went yesterday. No ramps and the locks are closed.

Port Canaveral's Facebook page says that it is still closed by the Coast Guard. No info on there as to when they will resume normal operations. Looks like it's closed to transit by water except by permission so the locks won't help....and the fishing weather is nice.....kinda sucks

And this is from yesterday....sucks even worse. Those muddy to clean breaks are something that I always try to find and they rarely are this defined

Just went back by and they are accessible and appear to be open and undamaged. There was one trailer there and a boat in the water. The Port's facebook page made no mention of the ramps yet, but it looks like they are open. The ramp at scorpion had the rope taken down as well but the gangway to the dock is roped off because of damage. Boarding a boat from there may be difficult. Weather turns uglier for the weekend, so tomorrow looks like the day for me.

Thanks for the info, Rene. I saw your last post too late last night to put together a trip for today...which stinks, because as you pointed out the seas turn to crap for the next few days. I had two bags of ice in my bait freezer on the back patio that my wife was wanting me to pull out when the power was lost. "Nobody open that bait freezer!!...Pretty please." 36 hours later when the power came back on I crossed my fingers, and half expecting a smelly mess, opened up my treasure chest. Couldn't believe it. All the bait was still frozen solid.
