Got an early start and was in 500 ft before sunrise. We had a navy sub following us around all morning which was pretty cool. Anyway by 8 o'clock in 950ft we find some birds working and pick of 3 fins about 6-8 lbs each. Continue heading southeast and have scattered weeds but nothing in them. Pick up and run out to 20 miles and find a really nice edge with weeds and troll it for an hr with no luck. Run back in to where the birds were earlier and find the sub again, pretty **** impressive. Find solid weed patches and pick off a couple of shorts and decide to call it a day. Not many fish but good day on the water and boat ran great.
