I have very mixed feeling about this one, especially the $5000. Your thoughts?

I don't understand how he supposedly hit something in the water, now his boat appears to be sitting on the ground instead of on the trailer.

Especially when he has a $1000 deductible. If it is true, I feel for the guy, but I think there are bigger things to be concerned with still that need funding.

Well considering he is running a boat where we usually walk, ride and drive cars it seems perfectly logical he may hit something???

There will be 1000's of people using Harvey as a reason to put their hands out for donations. Some deserving, most probably not. Do your research.

    Exactly!

Some of those guys in boats seem to be cowboys. I would think they should be making minimum wake but I see many doing quite the opposite.

Go fund me is also a con mans biggest earner. I think feeding people and getting that back into homes take precedence.

Azzhat. To total his boat he must have been running at high speed. Really smart to do that in a flooded city.

I am glad to only be a bird hunter with bird dogs...being a shooter or dog handler or whatever other niche exists to separate appears to generate far too much about which to worry.

    dnr?

    Do Not Resuscitate.

Sounds like a BS story. Why didn't they show a picture of the totaled boat if they needed money.

Edited to say - Not a scam. Contacted the guy, and confirmed that it is genuine.

Can't imagine what he did to a boat that can't be fixed.

Never been more convinced something is a scam. What a ridiculous, over the top story.
