We left SLI on Saturday the 29th and headed over to Spanish to clear. It was actually more of a pain than normal. We moved down to Green Turtle Club later that day. On our first full day we went down to the Adirondack wreck off of north Man a War. There was a mark on the Navionics that was very close the the exact spot. There are some underwater canons that are there and I will say it was worth the visit. After we wanted to make sure the nippers at Nippers were still good... and they were. :wink We finished off our day at Grabbers. I may like Grabbers even more than nippers, it all depends on what mood you are in.
Third day we headed down to Boat Harbor and got blown out by the rain in the afternoon.
Aug 1 we went lobstering. We had a lot of fun doing it but only got 7. Spent our time around Matt Lowes and then down towards Tilloo. One crew member had to fly out at 5 so it was a short day.
The next day we attempted to lobster and got none so we headed down to Pete's Pub. That was my first time there and it was a great experience. After leaving Pete's we wanted to go see what Schooner Bay was all about. We headed down there only to find out that there restaurant and bar were closed. I guess we accomplished what we were looking for but the fuel burn was't worth it. We finished the day at the Hope Town Inn. Very nice as bar as well.
Next day we went offshore. The water temp in around 84 so i didn't think it was too hot. Long story short we didn't even have a single knock down. We fished from north Man a War down the North Bar off Tilloo.
Friday we headed up to Spanish and did well on the lobster right around the island. Hit up the plane wreck to show the guys that. Spanish may be one of the best place to lobster in the Abacos.
Last day we lobstered in the AM and headed back mid day. We stopped and got 2 tiles off SLI on our way back.
Overall it was a great trip and as always can't wait to get back.
