Marco/Naples 8/5_8/6

Went out of Gordons Saturday for a beach day with the wife. Did well on trout at a little reef about 200 yds off the beach then spent the rest of the day on keywaden. Tried for pompano off the beach but nothing. Headed in at 1 and saw some blowups in Gordon pass. Checked it out and it was a large school of Jack's with some slob snook under them. Nothing bit but surprised to see that at 1:00 in the middle of the Gordon pass boat freeway. Out to Caxambus Sunday morning. Got a nice trout on a jerk bait in a dock light just before sun up. lots of male snook in the light but no big ones. Made it to the dome homes just as sun was coming up. fished the beach back to blind pass. Managed a few snook to 25" on top water and had one ~ 30" follow the bait all the way to the boat. Jack's were thick. I emagine the snook will start moving off the beach and back towards the back before too long.
