What year? We have a 1953 Farmall. Similar size, but a gasser. I see this is a diesel, not and expert, but I don't think many tractors this size were diesels back then. Ours will climb a tree. Unreal torque. It ran 45 years before we had the motor rebuilt.

When I was in my early teens I worked on my uncles tobacco farm. He had a 1940 Farmall still had the old hand crank. That was the 1st. thing I ever drove. I was around 12-13. You didn't have to use the hand crank.

Ours has the hand crank too. Thank God for the electric start option.
