Bait and chum prices

prices have climbed compared to last year...blocks of chum going for 8 bucks and a 5 pound box of squid was 14 bucks a couple of weeks ago and heard they are on the way to 20 bucks...supposedly there is a shortage of squid....anyone heard anything about this?....we are in Key Largo area...

Down in Key West the cheapest is Bionic Bait at West Marine. $29.99 for a six box case. They will throw in the locals price occassionally for $25 which it was last year for the case. Definitely not as good as Green Tournament, but it will bring them up.

Most chum full of cardboard now, it annoys me when half the chum gets stuck in the bottom of a one inch bag. Try the killer bee shrimp chum, it's in the marathon kmart but you can probably find it other places, and pretty cheap too
