Headed out at 6:30 to find pogies in shallow north of the jetty. First cast with the net would have done it but two sharks tore the net to shreds right at the boat. Best we could do was about two at a time after that. Billy from Chase 'n tail charters took pity on us and loaded our livewell. Thanks bud.
Off to pelican but it was so nice we kept going. Dropped lines in at 200 and went out to 300'. Descent weedline and temp went from 84.3 to 84.7. Not one single bite.
Ran back to pelican to troll without changing our luck. Wreck hopped up to 8a with nothing more than a few cuda cutoffs.
Finally my buddy Eric got a descent king at 8a and called it a day.
