Penn Clash 4000

I bought a Penn Clash 4000. I have used many Penn reels throughout the years. This is by far the worst reel I have ever owned. I am on my second one in less than a year. I bought it at West marine in Sarasota. Within a couple of months it completely locked up. They replaced it, and the second one has done the same thing. It is a shame bc the reel feels great and drag is super smooth. But,this is pathetic. At the price of 2 battles the thing just seizes up.

Has anyone else had this issue? I am considering just going to Shimano stradic instead

The Clash series has been very good for us, so what you are experiencing is definitely not common. I will send you a PM for some information and get our repair manager to contact you directly to get you back on the water.

The folks at **** took care of me and offered a replacement at the same price. Thanks for the customer service!
