Homosassa diving Saturday 6-10-17

Dr. Lee Weber joined Barbara and I for for an offshore dive excursion. Barb was the expedition photographer. These photos were taken during two different dives, Barb and I dropped on a reef in 55 ft and Lee and Barb visited a wreck also in 55 ft. Perfect day of diving, plus I shot some hogfish for dinner!

Thought you guys would like to see the bottom conditions. NOAA was pretty much spot on for for Saturday, seas two feet in the morning dying down to flat in the afternoon. Water temps were 82 deg in 55 ft. Vis 20 to 30 feet, with some particulate. Made three dives but only saw one keeper size gag. Lots of short gag and red grouper. Very few ARS on the two 55 foot dives we made. Plenty of nice sized hogfish and a stray sheepshead. Current 1.5 to 2 knots.
