5/29/17 Hillsboro Kings and a Sail

Fished in Hillsboro today with some live Gogs. We setup our first drift in about 100' and moved out on a pretty decent drift. First bite came in 160' which ended up being a nice Sail.

Released it and set back up in 85' this time. The first King came on a Gog with no wire :grin right after we set up. The next King came in about 100' on a jig. The current died and we didn't move past 105' for a while. Decided to pick up and run offshore. Seas definitely picked up one we got further and further out. Ended up going 15+ miles and saw nothing worth stopping on. Lots of scattered weed and clean water, but no fish. Did find a real good looking line about 10 miles out on the way back in, but nada on it :huh

Overall, not a bad day and had Kingfish for dinner
