my boy and I wanted to try something new so we setup in 200 just south of the port directly off the cranes. Drifted double hooked dead spanish sardines. Every drift lines were screaming, and all the action was in 90-80 ft, and it was blue water in that close. Kingfish were skyrocketing out of the water. Saw a free jumping sailfish going crazy. We lost 3 kings at the boat (dad getting a little too excited ). Had a ton of cut offs, and thank God we stuck the gaff in one of them. Plenty of action, and only burned a few gallons of fuel.

I know kings are not glamour fish, but the last recipe I tried, they tasted good.
