Who doesn't like a good fish story?
I have caught plenty of nice snook in my time using all sorts of tactics. My favorite hands, hands down, has to be throwing topwater plugs on the flats from a kayak.
About 12 years ago, I was doing just that, when a monster crushed my popper. That picture was deemed worthy enough for publishing by the fine folks at Florida sportsman, and I had my picture printed in the "Action Spotter" section of FS magazine for the first time.
Roll the clock forward to this weekend, and I hooked into another beast. Fought it for a little while, but the hook pulled. My fault, I had the drag a little too tight. I was crushed! Would it be 12 more years before I get another opportunity on one that size?!
Well I kept working the flat, throwing my Bomber Badonkadonk, and surprisingly enough I got another one of equal size to commit. I landed this one and got the whole thing on High Definition Video! Talk about redemption!!

I often get impatient and increase drag during the fight only to pull hooks; I kick myself every time, so I know the pain.
