Personally I like Depp as an actor and performer, I like his movies, his characters are always very charismatic and memorable, even when he plays secondary roles. I read that Depp is also into interior design and looks like he is quite talanted in it too. He designed few of his own properties, like this luxury villa in France https://tranio.com/france/adt/1635106/ which is for sale now.

You know how much money he makes off of residuals from those Pirates movies? A ton. I read he might clear 95 million from this latest movie alone. Crazy. People wonder why Bruce Willis keeps making die hard movies, they make him plenty of $$$
