Headed to CR Sunday with a "in early, out early" plan.
Launched a 6:30 and ran south just west of Gomez area looking for a cobia.
Spent a few hours floating pinfish with no luck other than a few small sharks.
Moved in to the bars and found some nice trout in between the bars in the 6-7 ft. range.
They seemed to hit best in the slightly more cloudy water and were on the bottom.
Freelined shrimp and mirrodines worked slow did best. Water was around 78.
Went inside at last of incoming and found 1 red on the oysters.
Kept 6 trout(15-18 1/2") and a 24" red. Back on the trailer by 1:30 after dodging all the boats coming home.

For they always bring me tears
I can't forgive the way they rob me
Of my childhood souvenirs"... John Prine
