Hillsboro Sashimi and Sail

Cleared the cut at 6 this morning. Seas were bigger than forecast. Perfect kite weather. Headed out to the tuna line and set up. Hooked a feisty sail off the kite on our first drift. After a clean release, we headed back out and reset. Saw an explosion on the long bait and it was game on. After 30 minutes of googan avoidance, digging, head shakes and death circles, the silhouette of a trophy BFT appeared. Jimmy stuck him with the steel and struggled to pull him over the rail. After a little angler assistance, we had him on the deck. No bites on the 3rd drift. 4th drift we hooked a mystery fish in 300 that spooled an avet in under 60 seconds. This was no shark...

They are out there....
