4/17 Offshore Kingfish

Had a trip yesterday and decided to run way to the south. Ran 75 miles to 110'. Fished some red grouper numbers early on and the bite was off, usually fill a limit within an hour down that way. Bounced around and picked up some mangroves and 1 decent red grouper. Set up on a wreck and put out the free lines. King's wouldn't touch the wire, put out flouro and was non stop action. Landed one that was well over 50lbs, seems as if I must get a bigger scale! Plenty of short gags were released, along with a few Aj's and larger jack crevalles.
